Aproximación FIR de un filtro ideal - Video

Aproximación FIR de un filtro ideal
Tutorial Description
Es posible aproximar un filtro ideal, por medio de un sistema FIR. Se deben tomar muestras de la función de filtrado ideal en el dominio del tiempo en el rango [-M,M]. Al final se aplica algún enventanado para reducir las oscilaciones del espectro.

Simulated Crawling Robot controlled via NeuroEvolution of Augmenting Topologies (NEAT) - Video

Simulated Crawling Robot controlled via NeuroEvolution of Augmenting Topologies (NEAT)
Tutorial Description
In order to test out many different learning algorithms it was suggested I create a simulator for my robot. I created the simulator and augmented a version of NEAT which I found for MATLAB. NEAT is a genetic algorithm which evolves neural networks. It is really cool and looks to also be really powerful. The original paper can be found here: http://nn.cs.utexas.edu/pub-view.php?PubID=122 Also for more information on my project be sure to check out: http://wikis.swarthmore.edu/ECE90/index.php/Velez2009 It will probably take me two days or so to update it for the simulator and stuff I’ve done with NEAT

Inverted pendulum simulation using matlab/simulink - Video

Inverted pendulum simulation using matlab/simulink
Tutorial Description
This was for a homework problem in automatic controls. I didnt wright the code to animate it or the Simulink diagram to do the calculations, I just designed the PD controller. The pendulum gets hit two times (once from each side) and the cart has to keep it upright. Notice the cart will go right forever, a state space controller could fix that problem.
